    posted a green heron(the frame before this one) yesterday and got some good critique(thank you)......more contrast, more room to right, more sharpening, more of perch.

    Here is the result after trying the suggestions.
    I think this is sharper on the head and the beak being open is a plus.
    Pleasing color maybe, but more pop than I think is natural......let me know, thanks

    crop from 400mm w/1.4x, ISO 400, 1/500, f/9(1/3 down from wide open for this 5.6 lens)

    All looks good to me here, Dave.
    The "pop" is pleasing to me. And I think you did well trying to maintain a low angle, because I'll bet these guys are low to the water.
    Can you use a kayak or poontoon boat on these waters? I am thinking of getting one someday.
