    This small flower head was photographed at Fairchild Tropical Gardens. Its name is unknown.

    RR, I have never seen anything like this. Very unusual! I like the BG (background) and you managed to get the flower portion nice and sharp but the whites look a little hot on my monitor. Also, with the width of the flowering portion of the plant, I probably would have gone with a horizontal composition instead of a vertical.

    Liked the patterns formed by the BG leaves. It aids the main subject. Well seen & captured. The quick-mask selection artifacts are evident around the stems which u might want to remove...
