I have not been able to participate in the forum lately, i was in Brazil the last 45 days trying to finish a house we are building down there. The weather was very dry and there was not a lot of birds around, but i managed to get a few pictures of birds that i have never photographed before. This is one one them.

WOW, this is the first cool image of this species I have seen.
Very nice low level perspective. Wish a bit more room behind the tail but I am happy anyway to see this.
    Keep them coming.

Very nice Adams! Great job with the exposure and sharpness. More room on the left would be nice but it's still an excellent image. I might remove the blade of grass poking the bird in the breast. Thanks for posting!

Great find, angle and details. I would remove the blade of grass touching the chest, crop a bit off the top and give it a tad more room at the left. Thanks for sharing!

Oh beautiful. The BG bokeh is fantastic. The whites look a tad hot but I guess am not sure. Liked the simple composition

I'd be pleased with this capture and I agree with the comments about the grass blade. The image looks a bit pale on my monitor. Perhaps it's time for me to re-calibrate.

    Really nice looking bird!
I agree about a bit more of room on the left.

Nice shot Adams, like the DOF, BG and sharp.
    Well done.

Cool image. In this case Im not sure you needed to be quite so low.

Thank you all for the comments, i agree, that blade of grass has to go.

Glenn, yes a little higher angle would be better but the MKIII and the 600mm with x2tc attached it is very heavy so i had the foot of the lens resting on the ground.

    Thank you,
    Adams Serra
