I think it is, anyway, I noticed some have the white line in the eye, and other don't. I suppose the lined ones are the males?

Hey Fabs- The ones with whites lines are called "bridled". They are a genetic variant but interbreed with regular murres/guillemots. The ratio of bridled birds to regular bird changes between populations. I think there is a much higher proportion on the west coast than the east. You're keeping me busy today!
The wings look sharp but the head and feet are a little soft- maybe motion blur or is it DoF? Motion blur in the image is understandable as they fly like bullets!
I like the wing position and look down and agree that feet and bill look a bit soft. I saw only one bridled common murre in Maine and was told that most birds of this morph nest further north.
Very nicely done and great EXP control with the backlight. I am fine with the feet; the bill looks like a tiny bit of motion blur.
