    Default Collared Kingfisher

Jut a plain ol' Collared Kingfisher waiting for a meal to swim past.

He may be "plain".......but he's still beautiful. Nice composition, simple and well exposed. Wonderful colors as well. A tad more of a head turn would have been even better and would have put the bill more in line with the head and thus a bit sharper. Well done.....I'd love to just see one of these, much less get a nice image as this.

Thank you all for the kind feedback. Although this is a kingfisher, it's main diet is mud crabs and not fishes.

Alfred - yes, a bit of head turn for more direct eye contact would definitely make a better picture. Thanks for that.

    Hello,

This is very nice. I love the BG and composition. I think the head could be sharper as the body is the sharpest point in your subject.

As noted above. I do love the combination of colors in this. I have never seen a kingfisher in real life so, not"just plain" to me. Thanks for sharing it.
