Lady Lidia has been living in Pops enchanted garden for the past year. She is an early riser and starts her morning walks through the palm leaves around 7:00 a.m.
Lady Lidia was gracious to stop for a pose. She was painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D macro lens.

Image solution: focal length @ 60mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering /
    1/125sec. - f/2.8 / exposure comp @ 0EV / ISO @ 200 / white balance @ cloudy / AF Mode @ manual /
color space @ sRGB / lighting solution - no speedlight - no strobes - no reflectors - no defusers / tone comp @ +2 degrees / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +3 degrees / support platform - monopod assist / cable trigger release /

    Comments greatly appreciated...

Hey Gus - I am no expert with the macro - like were you we going with this one.

Personal taste here - I find the OOF front legs distracting - probbaly just me though. Cant wait to see what else you find in the enchanted garden.

    :)

    Hi Gus,
As always, I am enjoying your macro work! I think I agree with Lance about the front legs - I kind of feel that the depth of field should either be even narrower so that the surroundings are really blurred, or not quite so deep so that the front of the spider is in focus.
    Regards,
    Nicki

Don't think there is much you can do about the front legs At this distances dof is minimal so even closing down would give you a funky look

Love perspective and feel !!! One fine image Gus !!! Proud of you !!!

Hi Gus. How's the vacation going? The OOF legs don't bother me; however, the light green rib down the center of the leaf keeps catching my eye. Great COMP. I love your work.......

Nice one Gus!!! Agree with Alfred on the DOF and perspective! The light bit Richard mentioned bugs me a bit too.

Hi Gus, you always come up with unusual views with your macro images and this is no exception. I agree about the oof legs but understand from Alfred's comment that would have been almost impossible to do. Thanks for posting!
