I like the subjects and BG. There doesn't seem to be too much detail though, was it a big crop?

I have to agree with Jody here. It just isn't particularly sharp Gary. More DOF would certainly have helped, but you still need to get sharp focus on the eye. Like the nice desert BG. Might apply a little CCW rotation. Thanks for posting!

Gary, since you asked - and if I had to make a choice and if more DOF is out of the question - I would have focussed on the front owl rather than the smaller one at the back. Still a lovely image though. . . .

    Gary,
I like the image. Works for me. I know eactly where these photos were taken.. What personalities!!! The only thing I dislike is the DOF in the foreground.Either that, or the fact that there are "objects" in the front are bothersome. Kristin

I'd love to see some of these guys sometime!!! Agree the sharpness/focus isn't what it should be....but that's a lovely creamy background! Maybe could use some NR on it. I too wish there were not oof somethings sticking up in the foreground.

Must agree that pretty much nothing looks sharp here. Moving to your left would have had two big ADV: putting some space between the two birds and putting them closer to being on the same plane.
