    This image was created with the D-300 and f4 500 plus a 1.4 at 1/160 at f 7.1 I don't have to many Snail kites in my collection so I was very glad to get this one. Thanks Rod

    Hi Rod! I like the eye contact and pose here. I would apply a little selective sharpening to the head and lighten the irises of the eyes a little. Also, there is a significant halo around the bird. Thanks for posting!

    Love the look! Agree with Doug about the halo and I would ease up on the saturation a bit.

    Wow, I love the feather display and details you got on them! I was too busy looking at that to notice the halo until I read Doug's and Jody's comments. As for the look, he sure looks serious about something!!

    Love the drooped wings and the pissed-off look.Must be some sort of angel... How did the halo get there?

    Its because I've darkened around the bird, he was totally backlit when the pic was taken. One of those, drive 300 miles and get nothing but backlit birds sort of days and trying to make the best of it. Thanks Rod
