Default Flame-Colored Tanager Takes a Bow

Here's one of my favorite interesting bird pose photos. I watched this Flame-Colored Tanager for quite a few minutes in the cloud forest of Costa Rica during my 2007 tour. What a performer this guy was! It looks to me like he's taking a bow!

Fantastic on all counts. Love the color of the bird, the sharpness, the "perch," and the BKGR. Way to go!

Fantastic photo of the performer, and I like that the reds didn't blow out. Nice Job.

Excellent image! I saw one of these guys when I was down there but was never fortunate enough to find a performer like you...

Hey, Doug. Looks just as good as the day you shot it. I can't find any fault with this one. I have these guys in my yard every day but have never taken the time to photograph them seriously. Now I'm going to have to see if I can beat this image but I don't think that's very likely!

    Cheers,
    Greg

Thanks everyone! Costa Rica is a great place to bring your camera gear. It's hard to not get good stuff down there.
