I like it a lot The leaf is just perfect for my taste Undecided about the bg was thinking on just a little darker? Very appealing and like it a lot !!!!

I like your composition and the slightly off focus of the background, although not convinced about the lighter tone on the lower right.

I love the leaf, but am not all that crazy about the background. I'd love to see it deeper and richer to play off the deep tones of the leaf. Great first try, though! Kaushik, was the leaf that color or did you do that with filters?

@ Julie, the leaf was in the same colour - kind of reddish-purplish-brown. Ofcourse I might have lightened the egdes due to the glow from the right of the frame.

Hi Kaushik,
I think just playing with the BG and darkening.........may have a dramatic overall effect.
