    Our next door neighbor while in Witless Bay. He is big, but very gentle and loves to be petted. And if you have a carrot for him, he will be very happy. In the mean time, he eats the daisies :)

    Where I lived in England my neighbour used to breed Shire horses, the largest of the great horses. As you say they are very tame and placid. They only hurt when they tread on your foot! When walking across the fields I would often be surrounded by 4 or 5 of them as they hurtled towards me for their apple and carrot treats. I once fell off a Belgian while riding bareback, it's a long way down I tell you. :eek: Thats a Belgian horse BTW.:D
