I took this photo on a sandbar along a beautiful stream outside of Sedona Arizona. I loved the color of the sand and the lighting. Minor cropping and contrast adjustments made. I'd love to hear your thoughts...

    Hi Mike,

I really like the concept here and the sandbar looks excellent. This may sound strange, and it is a personal thing, but I like the white but not the feather itself. I'm trying to remember from my fly tying days, I think the soft stuff is referred to as marabou. Anyway, it just seems too "loose" in this image. I would have preferred a more defined feather. Again, personal preference.

    Hi Mike,
Before I read any comments........I decide on my own critique.............but after reading Ed's.........I was going to say the same thing. The contrast and composition are lovely......just wishing for a more well defined feather.

I understand your comments. I remember finding this op and thinking the same thing! I shot what I had...
