    These Everglades osprey fledglings were photographed on one of my rare trips back to Miami. I'm now a Georgia resident.

    Those guys sure knew you were there! Great double eye contact! Not sure I would retain so much of the nest in the crop. Did you do Shadows and Highlights on the image? Reason I ask is the nest looks unnaturally light (or was fill flash used?).

    Yes John. There was harsh light and the nest was in shadows. I posted the image because of the eye contact of the ospreys.

    Harsh sidelight will always cause big problems. One tip for reducing the obvious SH/Highlight look of the nest is to move the midtone slider in SH/H to the right to about 8-12...
