Those guys sure knew you were there! Great double eye contact! Not sure I would retain so much of the nest in the crop. Did you do Shadows and Highlights on the image? Reason I ask is the nest looks unnaturally light (or was fill flash used?).
You didn't go thru unnoticed for sure! :D I love the look on their faces! The light it harsh. Congratulations!
Harsh sidelight will always cause big problems. One tip for reducing the obvious SH/Highlight look of the nest is to move the midtone slider in SH/H to the right to about 8-12...
