    I took this over the past weekend at Don Edwards S.F.Bay National Wildlife Refuge late in the afternoon. Here are the settings -

    Canon 40D + Sigma 50-500 F4-6.5 APO DG HSM on Mongoose 3.5a
    ISO 400, 1/3200 sec, 500mm at f8, exp comp. -1.0.

    Hi Indranil I like the tech info very much

    Got him with good light and it shows in the white feather detail I like the trailing wake and implied motion Would suggest more room around the bird I like it a lot !!!

    I like the pose and exposure control. The shadow of the bill is a bit distracting.

    A cool action pose. The relatively high in the sky sun and the light from the left have caused the bill shadow and the underwing shadow. Best to always strive to point your shadow at the subject. The salt deposit on the bill is distracting too.
