This image was taken while out in Bosque over Thanksgiving. The colors of the phoebe and it's surroundings seem to very much compliment each other.

    Nikon D2X, Nikon 600mm F4, 1/1600, F7.1, ISO 400.

All comments are very much appreciated.

The colors certainly are complimentary. I could see this working as a vertical too.

Very nice, Judy! I love the bg, delicate perch, and look back. The bg seems slightly grainy. Perhaps selectively sharpening only the subject would avoid the grain in the bg.

Those colors of the BG and Phoebe are beautiful. I like the composition and pose of the bird as well. I think if you'd select the bird/perch to sharpen, you'd avoid both the grainy BG and the slight halo around the bird.

Love the pose. The BG compliments the bird very well!

I would maybe run some Noise reduction software on the BG only?

    Hi Judy,

The composition works for me very well. I have to agree with the comments regarding the noise.

The colors are really nice and warm. With my taste I would crop it to keep 3:2 aspect ratio.
