    Default Jungle Babblers ( Turdoides striata )

    Made this image in a bear sanctuary in Southern India. While we were waiting for the bears, these two babblers flew past us and perched on this boulder.

    Quality of light we get in this place is some what unique. Boulders here are red in color and reflects a reddish light off them. Reddish background is because of these boulders.

    Canon 30D, Canon 300 F2.8L IS USM + Canon 2x, F5.6, 1/1000s, ISO 125

    I love the light and colors. Eye contact and poses are good too, overall and very nice image, thanks for sharing it!

    You are right about the unique colors, very nice!! A tighter crop would strenghten the image. Focus is slightly better on far bird (not by much, but still there)...upping the ISO and stopping down the aperture would have given you enough DOF to give them both the same sharpness without compromising shutter speeds.

    Hi Pramod,
    I definitely would like to see a tighter crop to emphasize the birds even more. I also agree with Daniel's recommendations for possible futere shots as they are right on. the colors are outstanding.

    Beautiful image Pramod. Liked their poses. Would also agree on more DOF to keep the bird on left also in focus.
