    40D, 400DO + 1.4xTCII, f11 (forgot to change from some previous shots with the 2xTC), 1/30s, ISO 1600, Eval Mtr, tripod, MLU, cable release.

    Steve,
    I like the placement of the bird in the frame. The head position and the catchlight in the eye are great. The background is complimentery to the subject. There is one little left patch towards the upper left corner that could be darkened a little. The branch really reflects its environment. Keep up the superb work.

    Specially love the mood of the picture, sort of a Fall feeling to it. Well exposed and composed, and a treat to the eyes.

    Lovely photo Steve for all of the reasons outlined above. It looks great for ISO 1600, with well-preserved feather detail. Thanks for posting!

    Hey Steve,
    Really nice pose/exposure/ & BG.......agree with white blob removal/blending...........for me.......you know I would probably crop abut 1/2 the space above the head........but I'd still take it as is.
