Hey Luiggi, welcome on board. Great first post, of one of the famous finnish ospreys. Love the action but would love to see just a little bit of more sharpness on the eagle´s face. I suggest to rework the levels adjustment on the head to bring more life to the bird. Very good job Luigi and please, do not forget to include the technical data of the image in order to help others members to criticize your work.
This is a stunner - the pose, the catch, the sprinkling water droplets, the fanned tail & those killer looks.
I wud agree with Juan on sharpness + providing tech details.
Marvelous capture of action here. I like the "lines" of the image with the bird angled bottom left to top right. If this isn't a full-frame image I think you could present the bird a little better by giving more room, in other words cropping less tight. This would also help with the detail and apparent sharpness of the image. Best crop might give less room below, more above and to the right where the bird is flying.
This is a very nice action picture. I like the killer look of the eagle and the wing position. I agree that it is very tight crop. The bird looks like being "traped" in the frame. I agree with John's comments above. I even suggest to give it a little more room from the right also, for spreading his wind.
Hi Luigi,
Very good recommendations above. I just wanted to add that i find the angle here very dramatic and hope you can incorporate some of the suggestions into the image because the action and angle are stunning!
I hate being a bit negative when everyone else isn't but here goes....
A) The image framing is too tight overall for my liking.
B) The wingtip framing of the face is too tight as well for me, although it would have been less obtrusive if the head was more sharply in focus. Also, some shadows / highlights on the bird may have helped this a bit as well.
C) I'd like to see those screaming colored osprey eyes enhanced to bring out their brightness.
D) Actual point of focus appears to be from the birds thighs on back to the fanned tail.
