    Golden Prickly Wattle (Acacia brownii)

Hi this was taken a few weeks ago and what caught my eye was the wattle floating on the tip of this stem.

All comments and help is much appreciated.

Sorry about before, for some reason the image didn't want to download. All good now.

Oh Aristotle! I love the wattle and I really like it against the black BG (background). I wonder if it might be even more interesting if you brought the midtones up a bit, giving a little more detail to the stem section beneath it.

Kinda agree with Julie. The Wattle look very good against the dark background but I like to see the stem pop a bit more.

    Hi Aristotle,
The BG is more of a dark green than black on my monitor.........which I like.........I think a slight boost of contrast using Unsharp mask.........say amount 20............radius around 40.......and threshold 0.......is a good starting point. You can adjust amount and radius to about 60........and threshold to around 4.......usually this range is pretty good for most images.......if you don't like any of them..........you can also use just regular contrast adjustment.
    Nicely composed and seen.
