Big welcome to BPN, Mitchel, Beautiful first post. The background is exquisite and so is the bird. The top of the wings seem a bit hot from here and I would cut a little tighter on the wings.

    Looking forward to more!

    Big Welcome Mitchel !!!!

Sure wish you could have gotten those wings in Would consider cropping tighter to make it deliberate and will also have bird larger in frame !! Excellent pose and lots of shadow detail !!! Very fine image !!!

    Welcome to BPN Mitchell!!

If you have it in your original I would definitely include the complete wings. If not then I agree with the Forns' about cropping even more tightly. I've only ever seen this species in zoos...your image is wonderful for letting us see one free and airborne :-)

    Welcome Mitchell,

I have to agree with Al. I would crop it tighter but you did well keeping the bird sharp!

One of my favourite birds Mitchell, although for me only ever seen in the zoo! I like the comp and the feeling of action that it suggests. Agree with Fabs that the wing tops are hot. Maybe nothing you can recover from this.

Thanks Fabs, Alfred, Daniel, Maxis & John and very nice to meet you all. Thanks for the comments, the image left to right is full frame, I only cropped top to bottom on this. I will play a bit with a tighter crop and see if anything can be recovered from the hot white area. Thanks again, comments much appreciated.
