    Default Common loon head shot

    This photo was made from a boat at a nearby lake. We spotted two adult loons and one juvenile. The parents were fishing, diving in and around the baby. They let us come quite close and allowed me to capture this one just after it surfaced (note the water droplets on the head).

    Stunning portrait with good exposure and detail. The water drops are a big plus.
