    I wish I could have gotten around the perch to get more frontal lighting, but I would have been on private property. I am pretty sure I used fill flash at zero. Maybe I also need to boost the contrast as well. I had real trouble balancing light and dark tonalities. Maybe one of the expoerts could suggest some methods? Almost a full frame image. :)

    Agree with your assessments Akos

    Should not be a difficult fix I would make a new layer mask the light part then multiply and adjust density. Can try same for darker areas and will be in the ballpark. From there its just minor tweak (particularly increasing contrast)

    I like the pose, smooth bg and sharpness .....hope he lands in a more favorable perch for you !!!!

    That looks WAY better. I did have a play with QM and haven't got a lot of nouse yet. But am learning. See here:
