    Default Stamen

4 frames stacked using CombineZP. More number of frames would have brought the complete stamen in focus. It was an experiment - am certain there's scope for improvement :)

These lovely orchids were in full bloom in the woods adjoining a graveyard (!!!).

    Tech details:
    Nikon D300 + Nikkor 105mm VR micro + tripod.
    f/16, 1/2 secs, ISO800, mirror locked-up (for all 4 frames)

    Critiques welcome...

Kaushik, lovely choice of how much to have in focus. I think if you had too much more of the stamen stems in focus it would have taken away from the great detail in the heads.

What a truly lovely image, Kaushik. I think it is composed perfectly and the orange color is so rich and luscious! I wouldn't change a thing.

Orange is my favorite color so I am really enjoying this image. I really like the way the stamens play against the rest of the orange flower. Well done.
