    Default Mute Swan

I was out testing my newly repaired Mark III (sub-mirror) two days ago when I caught this striking pose by a beautiful Mute Swan. I really do like the Mark III!

Like the subtle feelings extracted from the eye. I don't like the shadows attacking the back of the neck and below the chin. Looks as though this was shot in early afternoon. I am glad you appreciate your photographic equipment, the Mark III sounds top of the range!

    Hi Doug,

What a lovely capture. Excellent exposure control and details. The composition also works very well but I would push the colors a bit :)

Great portrait, details, exposure control and BG. Colors look good on my monitor. I might put the head a tiny bit further to the left or add more space on the right. Maybe a little bit less contrast for more details in the blacks.

Great shot Doug, love the bg. I am still waiting my turn to take my Mk 111 in for the sub mirror fix. I would appreciate knowing your thoughts on weather or not the fix has helped? You can email me at dghphotography@hotmail.com if you have time.

    Thanks!

Nice portrait! I like the BG also. My only nit would be to lighten the eye up slightly.

A very nice portrait as is. I think I'd be tempted to crop in even a bit more.
