    Default Immature Bandtail Pigeon Drinking

    Just finished up my newest water set up. So far there have been mostly Bandtails, Stellar Jays and a few Juncos. I f you are interested in building one for yourself check out the tutorial on my blog.

    This image seems to lack oomph. Was fill flash needed?

    Pretty bird and what an attractive "water setup!" Sounds like the birds are appreciating it. To me, the bluish rock right behind her kind of detracts because it is so similarly colored; and the moss covered rock (or whatever it is) to her left detracts, maybe because it's so big; my eye wants to go straight to it....But it's a very nice natural setting and I like that very much!!

    Hi Chris it is an appealing image

    If you wish to include the reflection remember that all applies as for the image itself ... room for the bird and no clipping !!! Here I think it might even be a stronger image without the reflection since it is not strong. The bg is busy but still appealing to me Great set up !!!
