    Default Newly Fledged Tree Swallow

    Shot this one on vacation when we stopped off at Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Ladner B.C. This is an immature tree swallow. Still kind of pretty even though the full adult plumage has not grown in yet.

    Canon 20D
    500mm with 1.4X extender
    400 ISO
    1/500 at F/8

    Hi Steve! This is a nice looking bird with overall good sharpness. I might selectively sharpen the eye just a bit. BG is nice. Perch isn't the greatest; the branch point in front of the bird is a little distracting, and I would remove the perch behind the bird. I think the bird could stand a little more canvas at the bottom and right. Thanks for posting!

    Nice pose, color, detail, and BG. I'd also remove the tip of perch off his back and maybe brighten the patch in front of the eye just a bit.
