    Very nice species and a very unnusual composition. I am sure that your intention is to show part of the habitat of the owl but in this case I think that the composition doesn´t work. The owl position in the lower left corner is not the best. I think that the best option in this case is a landscape composition with the owl at the right keeping room enough for show the habitat. The bird is looking to the left and the composition needs room in that direction. BTW, very good eye to detect this guy on the canopy :-)

    I don't mind the vertical crop, but I would like to see less habitat; something along the lines of what Peter did in his repost, but with a little more room to the right of the bird. I would also try to brighten the bird some in PP. Thanks for posting!

    Yes, a little brighter on the bird would work better and also a little lees habitat, specially on top where you can see the sky.
    I don't mind the Owl close to the border because he's looking at you.
