    Default Goldfinch on Stick

My first post in months. I get lazy about posting somettimes and just lurk. This is an image of my trained goldfinch. He sits wherever I direct him. I have so many images of him on different perches, that I thought I'd post one to see what you guys and dolls think.

    Comments please good and bad.

I like the alert pose, exposure control and BG. I might increase the color temperature a tad and put the bird slightly higher in the frame so that the perch does not end in the corner. There is some white line in the BG underneath the right foot. Maybe a spiderweb? Thanks for sharing!

I like the image and perfect plumage.
I see some blur on the bill and head.
Bg looks an artificial one (maybe a house wall) but nice fro this yellow colored bird.

I like the pose with the over-the-shoulder look, the colors, and the background. I agree that the head looks a bit soft. What I am not that fond of is the perch itself. I find it too "ornate" for my taste - my eye keeps getting pulled away from the bird to study all the detail in the perch. Should be an easy fix with your trained bird. :)

Very nice pose, RR, good to see you posting, you are very much missed :)
A little sharpening will do wonders here.
