    Default D300+ Mb-d10

Was thinking of buying the MB-D10, just wanted to know if it is worth the $240 bucks?
    Any thoughts appreciated!

I've had the MBD10 attached to my D300 since I bought the two of them, when they first came out. I like it because I think it's worth buying the ENEL4a battery, which lasts a looong time. I also like having the vertical shutter release. The MBD10 is made alot better then Nikon's other MBDs. The fit is also much better then the others.

Not really but the 8 fps is and the fact that you can use the same batteries as the D2X and D3 is. You can toss the camera battery once you have the grip. The EN-EL4 last for 1000s of images. I just came back from AK a couple of weeks ago. Was there for 8 days and charged my EN-EL4 twice!! Here is a list of parts to use the EN-EL4 batteries in the MB-D10.

Nikon BL-3 Battery Chamber Cover for EN-EL4 Used with MB-40 or MB-D10

    Nikon EN-EL4a Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (11.1v 2500mAh) for Nikon D2H D2X & D2Xs Digital Cameras

Nikon MH-22 Quick Charger for Nikon EN-EL4 & EN-EL4a Battery

It's solidly constructed, and attaches to the body snuggly. The biggest benefit is the battery life. A side benefit is that it will also fit the D700, should you decide to add that to your lineup.
