if I had a tripod, I could have used a lower ISO and gotten less noise. But at least, there are no people in this photo. lol

    well, what do you think?
    Thanks!

Hi Cheryl - awesome place - hope to get there one day.

Looks a little dark on my screen - could just be my screen.

I would open the sahdows up a little and add a touch of sharpening.

    Nice :)

Oh Cheryl! I agree with Lance - could use a bit more light in the shadows but it's lovely overall. The only thing I have to add is the light wall on the right hand side - it looks a bit out of place with all the dark shadows on that side. It might fit more if you can get the shadows to open up a bit, otherwise I'd consider cropping it.

Hi Cheryl, I actually like this as presented - I think that the deep shadows add to the drama.

thank you all for your time and comments. I kept the dark areas because I like the "dramatic" effect. I have a couple of other images with even more contrast between the dark and light areas. But I can see where I do need to stay away of details, or lack of, in the dark areas.

It's a very nice composition, with just a bit too much noise. I like the saturation and contrast. Antelope Canyon without a tripod???

Yes, David. Antelope Canyon without a tripod. that's why I had to use such a high ISO and got the noise. I would use the walls to help steady the camera. but yes, tripod would have been beneficial.

Awesome image Cheryl. Love the colors and details of the walls, like it as presented.

cheryl, i've seen lots of photos from this place and this ranks right up there with the best of them as far as i'm concerned!!. my only suggestion might would be to crop off the lighter area on the lower right side of the frame. other than that, nice job!!

Thanks Cheryl I will have to find time to go !!!!

btw for lightening the image I used my standard setting for shadow highlight 25-55-245 then just a slight curves adjustment !!!

Al, I don't understand your shadow highlight numbers. Would you explain that more? I have PhotoShop CS. Are those 3 numbers all for the shadows? for 25% on amount, 55% on tonal width, and 245 px on radius?
