probably the last of the safari pics!! need some help on this one. this is as much room as i had on the top and bottom. does this crop make any sense? or did i fail at composing it right in the camera? the eye falls close to the ROT.

processing done in CNX. ran gaussian blur on the bg and erased from gazelle with minus brush. it was pretty blurred to begin with but the dark bg showed a little noise and i figured i could clean it up better with the blur than with the noise reduction. lightened the face area a little and toned down some bright areas on the horns. regular amount of sharpening and that's about it.

thanks for looking and comments and critiques are appreciated.

I like it as presented Harold but might have considered a vertical in camera?

Did really well with the processing !!! Might clone the green merging with the mouth Sure like your images for the park !!!

Harold, Great sharpness! Plus you still have details in the blacks too. I don't know how else to crop it, unless you want to try a tight vertical portrait. Can you sharpen/contrast the eye any more?

Awesome Harold, did you shoot this one through the car window?

I like it Harold! Great eye lashes!! I'd clone out the tag on the far ear and claim you made this image in Tanzania:D

Beautiful animal portrait, Daktari! With those antlers, I would have gone vertical as well but this is also very nice. If you changed the crop at all I'd suggest losing a bit off the right - maybe stopping where the neck meets the shoulder.

    Mr. Daktari,
I like it as presented. You did a fantastic job with the background. The image and exposure are in check. Congrats my friend...

Hi Harold, beautiful animal - like the idea of a vertical crop.

    H. Nice portrait. Like the comp and background. I tend to agree with Al regarding the orientation. None the less.
    Congrats
