Taken in Spitsbergen 2006. Several pairs of these birds were present around the town we were staying in, had a lot of fun photographing them.

    C & C welcome and apprieciated,

Very cool, great to see the open mouth. I like the angle, exposure control, details and BG and might add a tad of room at the bottom.

Super exposure control. The open mouth is a special touch. I agree that a tad more on the bottom would be nice, but not imperative.

Superb image Krijn. The OOF BG adds a 3D quality to the skua. The yawning is a big bonus to the image. Very good exposure BTW

Good exposure, good details, nice background, excellent timing with the open beak- just great work.

Stunning image. Like everything about it, from the light, pose, fg, bg, and comp.
    Excellent work!

Quite excellent. Love the light, the BKGR, and ESP the look-back head angle (into the light). The rocks below the bird do upset the balance a bit.

Hehehehe, this bird looks as bored as mine I just posted. Terrific all around.
