    Hi Chas,

Lovely light and composition. The meal is a huge plus. Excellent eye contact and low angle.

    Well done!

What a beautiful bird. I love your BG. It is just OOF enough to be unobtrusive yet it is still clear that it is composed of reeds or some other aquatic plant. This helps to put this image into context. As mentioned by Maxis, the fish is a great bonus and helps to add some life into the image. Congratulations.

Nice, Chas. These birds are becoming a bit of a nemesisi of mine. ALthough they nest right here on the Copper Delta (in difficult to access areas, i.e. jet or air boat accessible), I have almost nothing on them. Maybe I need to go to Iceland!

Wonderful timing, great details, excellent light, love the low angle...

    Whats "ARC" ?
I keep thinking "Adobe Camera Raw" But I don't know what ARC is.
    Thanks.

Holy cow this is nice!! Chas, I'm sure you like it as is but the blue water line across the image just above the loon is ever so slightly slanted downward from left to right giving the effect of needing a very small CCW rotation.

I agree it needs a CCW rotation. Excellent in all else.

Wow, tack sharp, lovely details, well exposed frame. And with a prey, its a captivating image.
