This beautiful bird was sitting on top of a light fixture next to the ocean. The deep blue of the late afternoon sky inspired me for a few shots. The whites seem to be a little hot but I do not see clipping in any channel in Lightroom. Comments are welcome.

    Hi Rene,

What a lovely looking bird. Looks a little hot for my taste. I also wish for a less room on top.

Whites a bit bright, but otherwise a nice portrait. If you look close, you'll see its nictitating membrane is partially covering the eye. You might look for a frame with a clear eye.

I agree with Maxis and Milo, the whites seems to be hot and the composition would improve if you crop for a tigher portrait. The angle is not the better. Love the eye contact and the sharpness.
