    Default Grasshopper Sparrow look-back

At this point all the Grasshopper Sparrow images that a group of us had created featured the subject on a perch. Nothnig wrong with that of course, but when I noticed that this individual kept coming to the ground at the same spot I lay down in the hopes it would land in front of me. Of course it did, and since these birds spend alot of time on the ground I was glad to get a photograph one from down there - and out in the open:) I debated getting rid of the green in URC but opted in leaving it as a hint of the grassy habitat nearby.

Great head turn and pose, I like the green touch. It seems you get lucky when you are patient :)

    Hi Daniel,

Love the head turn. The composition and low angle works for me very well

Great find, angle and pose. Might work as vertical crop, too.

    Hi Daniel,
Good pose, DOF, detail, and colors. I like the inclusion of the green as well.
