    Nice capture Kobus! Eye contact and sharpness are great. I usually like a little separation between wing and beak, but in this case the head is so well lit that I think it works. You might be able to bring out a little more detail in the far wing using PS. I would eliminate the white spot below the bird. I might also give it a little more room up top. Lastly I would post at 800 pixels to let people have a better look at your work. Thanks for posting!

    If you have it I would definitelty re-crop to add some back above. If not I would explore adding some canvas in post-processing...this image needs it!! Otherwise quite outstanding. :-)

    Very good action and terrific sharpness. I absolutely agree about the need for a little more room for a better composition but this is an outstanding image in the way you posted. Excelent job Kobus

    Very cool pose and eye contact. I would increase the saturation and another vote for more room at the top so he doesn't fly into the frame. :)

    Lovely colors and pose. I also like the eye contact and the meal is a huge plus!
