Great wingspread and wonderful use of flash. I like the fact that he's flying in a diagonal. Wish the right eye were more visible.

Big welcome to BPN, hope we can make your experience here a fruitful one :) and can't wait to see more!

now _that's_ the image I was trying to get during my two weeks in FL!! Agree with Fabs that more eye contact would be great, but dont know how a bird could manage both that and flight.

Well Doug I am striving, but I reckon I have a waaaaay to go yet! When I looked at this image I thought it was beautifully sharp, well exposed and I was especially pleased to see the eye - for me great shot Brian - keep them coming

Quite a lovely image but judging from the darkness of the sky I would venture that this is more of a flash as main light image than a fill flash image. Having the flash set to -1 1/3 stop does not automatically make an image a fill flash image as when light levels get low even greatly reduced flash output can act as main light, esp. with white subjects.

And a big time welcome to Brian; how did you get such a low number???

    Hi Brian,

Welcome to BPN. Very nice wings and composition. I would like to see the "fill" more evenly as it looks lighter in the right wing.

I registered early on! I have not had much time lately post.

Artie, the 20D is still working just fine! ;)
