    Lots of wonderful and creative work on this forum, Here is a little Grebe I shot on an overcast day and while the color image was nice I am not a big fan of grey water so I played around with it and came up with this B/W image.

    definitely out of the box. I love the tones and textures of grey here. tad better eye contact would put it over the top me thinks.

    Wonderful image, Don! You've got such depth of detail in those feathers and they really pop with the black & white conversion.

    Don't know how much you played with the composition of this one - what you have is very nice - I was just wondering about how centered it seems to be if you exclude the shadow portion of the image. It might be worth taking another look at this as a horizontal and pushing the Grebe back towards the URC just a bit more and letting him float into the photograph. Just a thought...

    Do like the conversion very much Agree with Jules on the duck placement Also keep thinking of a horizontal composition Sort of like the ripples !!! Excellent !!!
