    Hi Marc,

Lovely colors. Looks like a heavy crop. I would remove the noise in the BG.

Great pose, eye contact and BG. There is a slight sharpening halo around the bird and the front part of the bill looks as if it was attached.

    Hi Axel
The bill actually has dirt particles on it from digging out its river bank nesting sites;).
It has not been PS in any way.

    Cheers

That would explain it. :) If this is not a heavy crop, I might try a tighter crop.

I like the pose and BG. The bird looks a little underexposed to me.

This has similar colours to your last Carmine posting, to my mind it is oversaturated, the red is supposed to be carmine.
    Nice action though.

The bird could go a bit brighter, esp. the head and the upper surface of the tail. Would love to have seen the bird lower in the frame to get it away from the line between the darker (above) and lighter section of the BKGR. Barring that, I would suggest a crop from the bottom.

Oh man, this is a difficult image to capture. Nice job freezing a flying bee-eater & that too keeping it sharp through out...

    Hi Ken
I haven't added much saturation at all to this and have even toned down the red as well.
It seems in this early golden light the colors are very intense.

    Cheers
    Marc
