I watched this tiger for a long time. He was resting in the open. Then he got up, yawned and stretched before moving into the grassland.

Shot with Canon EOS 40D, Canon EF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM, EF 1.4xII, at 560 mm, ISO 200, f5.6, 1/800, full frame.

Processed this in Lightroom 2 Beta. The morning light was soft. I increased the contrast to medium. No other tweaking except for ticking the output sharpening option while saving the file. Do you guys increase the contrast in early morning or evening light?

Beautiful habitat, but I'm really wishing for his head turn. I don't like hight contrast, but I would warm the temperature.

With a good head turn it would have been really good. like the complementing background.

    Hello Sabyasachi

Tigers are always splendid to look at and seeing one in the wild is really much impressing! But what a magical moment you should have live seeing that great cat in the willd!

    Cheers!

I agree with others that having the head turned would have been great!

What a nice look at a wild tiger. Wish the head was turned towards the photographer a bit..
