    This image is of a Crested Serpent Eagle (Spilornis Cheela). This one flew and perched itself infront of a me.

    Canon EOS 40D, EF 300mm F4 L IS USM, ISO 400, 1/250, f4, +1/3 EV, shot hand held using a Bush Hawk. Full frame image.

    Way cool bird, goor EXP, and sharp. The diagonal branch behind the bird's head is both unforutnate and distracting. With a lot of hard work, that branch and a few others could be removed... Good head angle and a nice sharp eye.

    Great find, pose and details. It could go a tad brighter and if the other branch were not there it would be even better.

    Agree with the comments above and would ad that the horizon could be corrected just a bit. Still, great shot! Very nice pose and details, dark bird in the shadow is not an easy target.

    Just couldn't leave this one alone - looks a tad dark on my monitor and I agree with Artie on the branches - so I gave the suggested removal a try.
