Well, not the best light, but I really like this shot. Taken a few days ago in Islamorada at around 4 o' clock pm. Hope you like it! Enjoy!

    20D
    70-200 2.8
    TC 2X
    Flash -2 (I think hehe)
    Tv 1/2500
    Av 8.0
    Iso 400
    Handheld
    Vertical crop

I know I could've gon with a lower ISO and a lower shutter speed (as far as this particular shot goes) but as she kept moving and I wanted to freeze movements I decided to go with this settings.

C&C are very welcome and much apreciated!

I like the COMP and the sharpness of the eyes. Where did you find the brown rainbow??? Nice chatting yesterday. ABP II is on the way.

I like the pose and exposure control and wish for a bit wider DOF.

Great pose. In this case, having the bird stare straight down the lens makes for a strong composition. Like Axel, I would have liked some more DOF to get the beak in focus. Good job.

I like the eyes.. they show very well how this egrett points to the fish. the position of the eye is essential for this.
congratulations. I also think more DOF will be good.

    good luck and better shots....

Thanks everybody, I apreaciate your comments very much. But in order to get more DOF with a BG that is as close to the bird as this palm leave was, I believe the only way would've been achived just by not getting as close to the bird (please correct me if I am wrong), and I think, despite this, that with such a long beak to expect it to be all in focus is not realistic hehehe.. if somebody knows, please do tell me! Thanks!

Well done Ramon! I love the composition. Very unusual and it works.
