That's my first post on this site. I am living in the southern part of Germany and nature photography - mainly landscape - is my hobby.
Taken last week during our vacation on the Lofoten islands in northern Norway.
As it was a family vacation, I had only the EOS 5D with me which is not really competent in action photography ... That is one of the few really sharp images I have got from birds in flight.

Welcome, Bernd! Very nice first post. I like the eye contact, details and composition. It would have been even better without the shadows on the the wings. Keep them coming!
Welcome. This certainly is sharp. As per Axel, the shadows on the wings are distracting--you needed the wind right behind you. Also, the bird's head is angled slightly away from you (rather than slightly towards you as is usually ideal).
