Hi everybody. Today I wanted to show you this portrait, there was very little light and it was not easy to get this one sharp but as the little light there was, was very nice, I wanted to take this one home :) I actually had to do some eye surgery as in this shot, the bird had his eye closed so I borrowed and eye from this one's previous shot (not as sharp, but the eye did his job hehe). Taken in Key Biscayne yesterday afternoon. Enjoy!

Lovely portrait with great details. Exposure appears good even in the "blues". The eye surgery is not apparent at all. Congratulations.

Hi Ramone, I'm surprised you didn't up the ISO and open up your aperture for this...1/60s is not much SS to work with! Having said this the image is sharp but the eye does show that it is softer than the rest.

Really nice detail in the dark tones Ramon. I love the catchlight on the end of his beak! You've got a beautiful BG and a nice comp on this - I'd see if you couldn't get a little more catchlight in his eye and then sharpen it a bit. I think that would put this one over the top.

    RE:

Daniel, with my lens (Sigma 70-200 2.8) and the 2X TC, to open up the aperture more than f8.0 results in really unsharp (soft) images. And I always try not to use 800 ISO unless is really really necessary and I didn't think this was the case. :) Thanks!

I agree, the BG is lovely, and the detail as well, except for the eye, which could use another round(s) of sharpening. Great shot!

I like the soft light, eye contact and BG. As mentioned maybe a tad more sharpening and I would add a bit room at the top.

Very pretty Ramon! I think the eye and the top of the head could stand some additional sharpening. I'd also like to see some more room up top. Thanks for posting!
