Please let me know why and how you came up with -2/3?

Wow...this is really dark! Were you trying to keep the sky from blowing out? Everything looks as if it needs a major levels adjustment.

    Rick,

The pose is good and the fish is a plus of course. The image looks sharp but it could use some sharpening around the bill/eye/face. Also the image is too dark, i would recommend curves. Also it would look better to have the bird flying into the frame rather than out.

If I was standing next to you and i was shooting with Canon I would dial in +2/3 for the back/top lighting.

Artie My settimgs were for snowy egrets with the sun at my back when this fellow happened to come by from my back side. With the bird moving fast I forgot to change my comp setting.
I may need to calibrate my screen as they look lighter to me.
    Thanks, Rick
