    Taken yesterday from a kayak. For this reason used ISO of 640 (am not real stable in the kayak...). 1D Mk II,Canon 500mm, 1/1600, F5. Early morning.

    Hi Richard,

    I like the feel and the image design of this one. Might have liked it even more with the lens pointed well down and the bird in the ulc...

    Are the whites good on the master file? They look borderline here.

    This is great! I like the bubbles neat the bill :-)

    I tried a kayak a few weeks ago without my photography gear...glad it was without!! ;-)

    Love it, I would just crop from the bottom. Other than that, beautiful!

    Gorgeous glassy look to the water. I agree that the whites look borderline hot but they offset the deep color of the water so well that it's not a breaker for me. Me in a kayak? You bet! My beloved camera gear in a Kayak? I don't know...:eek:

    Thanks to all for the comments and suggestions. I did check the whites and they do hold texture.The kayak is a less expensive one designed more for stability than white water. It seems to be a good platform and the big advantage is the ability to maneuver so that the light direction is good. As you note, Art, a disadvantage is that you cannot modify the height much. Again many thanks.
