    Long time no see...this is the first I've been able to get out in a while....
    This GBH was kind enough to pose for me down by the river this morning.
    (I decided to leave the darkening -lower right- alone)

    Canon 40D + EF 400f/5.6L
    Av @ f/8 @ 1/1000s
    ISO 320 EV Metered
    Full frame no crop

    Great pose, light, and details. I also like the water on his bill and would give him a bit more room on the left.

    I like the pose and contrast here. I agree with Axel on the left side of the frame for more room. Very nice details and a soft feel to the feathers. Did you use a set up background?

    Thanks Axel and Grady. I supposed I could make a bit more frame to the left as this is the original image. Grady-no this is just blue sky.

    Love the sharpness and all of the curves. Would like to see a bit more room all around. Your subject is a bit on the ratty side esp. about the chin and the base of the bill.
