This beautifull lady was photographed in my home studio. She was painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 200mm f/4 macro lens.

focal length @ 200mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / combination of in camera matrix metering, and spot metered three points in the image; for light balance. / 1/30sec. - f/4.2 / exposure comp @ -1.3EV /
ISO @ 200 / white balance @ cloudy / AF Mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / tone comp @ +2 degrees / hue adjustment @ +1 degree / saturation factor @ +1 degree / lighting solution - no speedlight; used combination of 36" soft box with a 24" silver disk reflector. / support platform - tripod assist / cable trigger release /

    Comments greatly appreciated...

Nice comp, Gus! I see a little noise in the flower right where it comes out of the green portion; some kind of artifact right in the middle of the image; and the part of the flower that is sharpest looks either over-sharpened or something? Was it a large crop? Not sure what that is. This is so potentially pretty, I think I would reshoot it, or maybe just re-process it.

I love that the shallow DOF draws my eye across to the stem - but once I get there, there are JUST a few grains of sand? aphids? on the green stem that you might take out to make it as clean as the flower. I guess this is influenced by the title. Can't have your bride going down the aisle with aphids.... :)

    Thank you Amy,
Point well taken. I did not even see that; you are right...:)

I love the motion in this image, reminds me of a great ocean wave.
There is something strange going on with the sharpening I think. Just above the stem on the petal side, there are strange squiggles that continue to the right and down. Are they intentional?
