    Default Chestnut Capped Laughing Thrush

This was taken with my "then new" EF500mm in Fraser's Hill.
I came away convinced good glass makes a difference and comes at a price. I still hold the same opinion today.

What a beauty, ie the lens, no what a sharp image, well handled flash etc.

Exposure and head angle look good. I wish the leaves in front of the bird's chest were not there. Thanks for sharing this image, I don't think I've seen this species before.

I just love seeing so many new species here on BPN, and this is a quality image as noted above. The feathers look a tad over-sharpened to me. I do not mind the leaves in front of the bird but I would tone down the broken end of the branch... Great head angle and pose (with the whole tail visible).
