    Hi guys...

I was posting a big thread with different images on Dunlin´s yesterday but Arthus told me I was not allowed. So now I am posting a picture here.. I hope you like it..

I was out in the evening with hope of catching the curlew sandpiper with my camera, in the nice sunset... I spend about two hours camouflaged on the ground and after about a one hour a group of birds camed to "my" edge of the pond. It was not the curlew´s but the very nice and funny Dunlins.... Instead of trying to take ordinary portrait-pictures with just one bird in the fram I thought I tried to capture two birds in the fram, that are actually doing something. Where you can see them feed or talk and that they have not noticed me...

I have about 4 images and I am starting with this one... Feel free to speak :)

    Exif:
    Nikon D80
    Nikon AF-I 300/2.8 + 1.7tc
    Tripod
    Camouflage

    Cheers // Johannes

I like the angle and light. It might also work as pano crop and I would prefer if there were more eye contact and you could sharpen the birds some more.

It's good to try different things, but to be honest this one doesn't work for me. One bird is looking away and the other lacks eye contact (I know it's busy feeding). Too much empty space above, wish for more room below, and the saturation looks a bit strong especially in the reds. Please take this constructively :-) It looks like you were witnessing a great scene...I'm sure you got some beutiful images out of that series!

The light is lovely as is the color of the water. And, no, we are not permitted to post five different images in the same thread... The left bird is poorly positioned with regards to your position being angled away from you. The right bird is poorly positioned with regards to the light which is from the right. That is why the rear of the bird is in shadow...

Hi guys and thanks for the comments.. Im happy you like the colors and light. I do think you where missunderstanding. It was eyecontact that I did not want because I wanted the birds to look natural and like they did not know I was there... Ofcourse I take your critism constructively and I will have remember it and think of it next time...

I will try to find some picture from the series that I think suit you more... I think I know witch one :)

Cheers // Johannes, a proud owner of the picture
